I do not know about your dogs, but my female boxer, Diva is Harry Houdini reincarnated. She is the sweetest petite little girl. But boy, does she like to get out of the fenced in yard ,any way possible.
We have a great fenced in yard, split rail fence with vinyl coated wire on the inside so the dogs can see through the fence to the outside world.
Well Diva discovered early on the the vinyl fence is fair game for her to bend and belly-crawl right underneath. This has become her favorite game. My Aunt Emma, bless her heart, (and with my good fortune!) lives right across the street and has a good view of my yard. She and my Uncle Lee enjoy watching my two boxers playing and running around the yard. My Aunt Emma is usually the one that calls me on the phone to tell me my little girl got out again. Diva is a Momma-baby, so she does not run away, just "hangs around" the outside of the fence while my frantic male, Mack, is trying to figure out how to get her back in! We usually just holler out the door, "In the house!" she will run right to the front door to be left in wearing the biggest boxer smirk that can sit on her sweet little face, "Ahh, see what I can do?!"
My husband has had to reinforce the bottom of the fence at multiple places, but she keeps making new escape hatches.
This afternoon while working on my website the phone rang, and sure enough it was Aunt Emma. To my surprise she told me BOTH my boxers were out! WHAT the heck? How could that be? Mack is much too bulky to crawl under the fence.
I went out and they were "visiting" my next door neighbor. They love her little boy Giovanni.
I was astounded, till I discovered my husband ,who worked outside all day in the yard yesterday, had accidently forgotten to lock the gate; consequently our dear nosey dogs discovered this, and left themselves out!
So that was my little bit of excitement for a Sunday afternoon....
Would love to hear about your pet's antics. Please feel free to post and share with us!
