This is a note from Milo's trainer and best friend at K9 Working Dog Academy in NJ: I’ve been working with Milo for a few months at my training facility. Milo is a Boxer with great drive and wants to work. When he gains trust in his leader, he becomes very easy to handle and bonds faithfully to that person. Trust is a problem for Milo since he lived a fairly sheltered life growing up, he was only comfortable with his immediate family. He needs someone who can handle a dog with drive, someone who can get the drive focused and keep it under control. Milo is a special dog for a special person. I am looking for someone who truly wants to learn how to handle a dog. I am willing to train you to handle him. This is a great opportunity for you to learn how to handle and work with a dog like a pro and build a special relationship with your dog. My kennel is in Frenchtown, NJ, 10miles off of Rte 78 (exit 15). If you are willing to commit to Milo, I’m willing to train you. Milo is an owner surrender that really needs a boxer and working dog (see The Boxer as a Breed...) savvy forever home. His home had him since he was a puppy, and never gave Milo the leadership he needed. He wasn't doing well at the kennel, and we are very short on foster homes, so Milo is working hard at K9 Working Dog Academy, along with Chance, to learn what he missed out on as a pup. He is a little boxer with a big assertive personality that needs a job like agility training , flyball, or training for the olympics, LOL, to keep him challenged, active, and tired out. A good home for Milo would be an athletic person or couple who have the time and desire to train with Milo. He will not be placed with children, or other pets, and will require a few hours of training together at the K9 Working Dog Academy, in Whippany NJ. Have you got the right stuff to give Milo his forever home...
